At Southside Animal Clinic, we are a multi-doctor AAHA accredited hospital serving the Jacksonville community. We pride ourselves on our customer service and community outreach. Our practice offers all of the modern equipment including digital x-ray, dental rads, ultrasound, electronic medical records (AVImark), surgical laser, and therapy laser. We enjoy practicing fear free and cat friendly approaches with our patients. Our team loves to work up cases, performing dentals and surgeries in addition to appointments, and we enjoy client communication.
We are seeking a Full-Time Kennel Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. Our Kennel Assistants often cross-train with our Veterinary Assistants to gain medical experience and become well-rounded veterinary professionals.
The Kennel Assistant is responsible for maintaining back of hospital duties. These tasks include: caring for boarding animals, maintaining appropriate feeding schedules/providing prescribed medication to pets, maintaining the kennel area (cleaning and mopping), bathing animals and upholding the highest level of care for all pets. Additional duties may include general cleaning of the hospital and communicating directly with clients.
Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Our next team member will be an energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and weekends.
