Stuart Sound Animal Hospital has been serving Stuart, Hobe Sound, Palm City & surrounding areas since 1997. In July of 2013 Stuart Sound Animal Hospital opened a new, state-of-the-art facility and we are very proud of all of its advancements. Our facility includes digital radiology, digital dental radiology, ultrasonography, computerized records, and the ability to run almost all diagnostic tests “in-house”. The hospital also houses one of the only positive pressure ventilated operating rooms on the Treasure Coast in order to provide the safest surgical environment possible. We are currently a 4 doctor practice who are dedicated to meeting the various needs of all pets & we are eager to expand our ever growing team.
Our hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.
The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians in the care of animals. The Assistant helps during initial examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order. Veterinary Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files. Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Our next team member will be an energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours and some Saturdays.
