American Wear Uniforms is seeking a dedicated Route Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will operate a commercial step van or box truck while delivering outstanding customer service to valued clients and associates.
Key Responsibilities:
· Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle to complete daily deliveries and pickups across the NY, NJ and PA area.
· Ensure timely pickup and delivery of rental products and facility services, including uniforms, shop towels, mats, mops, and other requested items.
· Accurately review invoices and manage inventory of clean and soiled merchandise.
· Reconcile route paperwork, including invoices, order requests, payments, and other necessary documentation.
· Load and unload products at customer locations and maintain inventory at each stop.
· Communicate any customer or equipment-related concerns with management or customer care as needed.
· Maintain a professional appearance and positive demeanor when engaging with customers.
· Keep the route vehicle clean, organized, and in good condition.
Schedule & Requirements:
· Start times vary and may begin as early as 3:00 AM—punctuality and reliability are essential.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions and an excellent driving record.
· Monday – Friday work week- No weekends- earning 40 hours per week.
· Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role.
Preferred Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous customer service experience preferred.
· Minimum of two years of driving experience preferred.
· Must be able to work independently while adapting to changing priorities.
· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with limited supervision.
· Flexibility to work overtime when needed to support business operations.
Physical Requirements:
· Long periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
· Frequent reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and visual assessments.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
