Position Overview
The Site Safety Manager is a key leadership role within American Woodwork, Inc., responsible for overseeing all safety aspects of the company’s on-site millwork installation operations. Reporting directly to the Company’s Executive Vice President, this position provides day-to-day safety leadership for a multi-million-dollar commercial interior project at the Charlotte Hornets Training Facility.
This role partners closely with the Project Superintendent and field leadership to ensure all work is performed in full compliance with OSHA standards and contractual safety requirements. The position is highly visible, field-focused, and accountable for embedding safety into daily operations while supporting efficient, high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee on-site safety for American Woodwork’s millwork installation team
• Partner with the Project Superintendent to plan and enforce safe work practices
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all project safety requirements
• Conduct daily jobsite safety walks and hazard assessments
• Lead toolbox talks and routine safety meetings
• Review and enforce Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning
• Monitor proper use of PPE, fall protection, lifts, and material handling procedures
• Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and training records

Job Requirements
• OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
• CPR / First Aid Certification (Required)
• 5 years of construction safety experience
• Experience in commercial interiors, architectural millwork, or specialty trade installations preferred
• Strong knowledge of aerial/scissor lifts, fall protection, interior construction hazards, and material handling
• Ability to work full-time on site in Charlotte, NC for the duration of the project
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead by example in the field
