Your Role as the QA Nurse (RN)
Americare Senior Living is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Quality Assurance (QA) Nurse (RN) to support regulatory compliance, resident safety, and continuous quality improvement within our community.
In this leadership role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to ensure state and federal guidelines are met while maintaining a safe, supportive, and home-like environment for residents. As a key member of the quality management team, you’ll contribute to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives that drive better outcomes for residents and staff.
Summary
The QA Nurse (RN) is responsible for supporting quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives in accordance with federal, state, and Americare standards.
This role partners with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to monitor care processes, identify improvement opportunities, support audits and inspections, and promote consistent clinical practices across the community.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to ensure compliance with state, federal, and Americare guidelines
- Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and projects
- Monitor clinical practices, documentation, and care delivery for accuracy and compliance
- Assist with audits, inspections, and survey preparation and follow-up
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in clinical outcomes and processes
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing and MDS Nurses to support accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
- Promote adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, families, and community partners to support quality outcomes
- Support education, coaching, and reinforcement of best practices for nursing staff
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings related to quality, safety, and performance improvement
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Maintains current state registration and required continuing education
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance, or clinical leadership preferred
- Strong understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing leadership, MDS staff, and interdisciplinary teams
- Dedication to resident safety, quality care, and continuous improvement

- Sit, stand, walk, bend, and change positions as needed throughout the workday
- Lift up to 25 lbs. as required
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
- Perform tasks requiring visual acuity, hearing, and verbal communication
- Use electronic health record systems and standard office equipment regularly
