Lead Fiber Optic Technician

We’re hiring skilled Fiber Optic Technicians with hands-on experience in installing, splicing, testing, and terminating fiber optic cables. Whether you're a seasoned professional or looking to build on existing experience, this is a great opportunity to work on dynamic projects across a variety of commercial sites.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fiber optic cable installation, splicing, and termination in commercial and industrial environments
• Conduct OTDR and power meter testing to verify link integrity and performance
• Work with aerial and underground fiber networks (new builds and maintenance)
• Accurately interpret blueprints, network schematics, and project documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged fiber lines or connection issues
• Complete daily work logs, job documentation, and maintain inventory of materials and tools
• Comply with all safety procedures, project specifications, and client requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in fiber optic splicing, installation, or network cabling (or equivalent training)
• Familiarity with OTDR, power meter, VFL, fusion splicer, and other fiber test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and construction prints
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, occasionally at heights or in confined spaces
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Strong communication skills and commitment to safety and quality

Preferred (Not Required):

• FOA Certification, ETA Certification, or similar fiber optics credentials
• Experience working in commercial construction, data centers, or telecom networks
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
