Ameriprise Financial has an exciting opportunity for Senior Accountant role! This position would be responsible for the preparation and timely completion of the Forms 10-Q/10-K and GAAP financial statements.
- Prepare the Forms 10-Q/10-K, and GAAP financial statements and other regulatory filings, including workpapers, XBRL filings, and supporting documentation.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting and analysis review including: Preparation of periodic regulatory reports, effective use of our general ledger system, and assistance with ad-hoc projects, as assigned.
- Monitor changes in accounting guidance and new transactions/events and work with business partners to update disclosures in a timely manner. Perform review of peer company disclosures.
- Bachelors degree with a focus on Accounting
- 3 years of accounting experience
- 2 years of working with SEC filings
- Ability to prioritize tasks to understand the impact to the business and develop best practices
- Process orientated and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- XBRL experience
