Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry for over 35 years, is seeking a Engineering Administrator to join our Engineering team. This position works full time in our Oakland, NJ office.
The Engineering Administrator is responsible for managing tasks and requess based on email and logged informaton. The position will is responsible for entering and retrieving data from our ERP Oracle system. The role requires strong time management skills, and the ability to adapt as the daily or weekly needs of the company change. Successful candidates will work efficiently in a deadline driven environment, demostrating a high level of initiative, utilized strong problem solving abilities and analytical skills.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Create and maintain part numbers and bill of materials (BOM) in Oracle.
- Run daily and weekly reports and review.
- Update and maintain daily request information and follow up on requests in a timely manner.
- Assist Engineers with submitting and processing all engineering change requests (ECRs). Communicate changes throughout the organization.
- Process finished good BOM requests from Forecasting, Marketing, Customer Support adn Warranty departments.
- Other dutes as deemed appropriate by Management.
Skills & Requirements:
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive engagement and collaboration with Customer Support and Engineering Departments.
- Must be disciplined, process strong organizational skills and thrive in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently while multitasking effectively.
- Proven problem solving skills and critical thninking abilities.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed assigned tasks.
- Willing to learn the company's lighting products.
- Experience in manufacturing ERP system (Oracle or SAP).
