POSITION: Marketing Associate
OVERVIEW
Ames Watson is in search of a vibrant, results-driven Marketing Associate to aid in the transformation of companies for long term success. The Marketing Associate will assist the Director of Marketing in oversight of marketing efforts at all portfolio companies with a highlighted focus on e-commerce businesses. This newly created position will be responsible for gathering, organizing and assisting with the analysis of marketing data and metrics from a variety of marketing channels including Social, Email, PPC, Display and additional Paid Media. The ideal candidate should be highly analytical with the ability to effectively identify and communicate the most impactful key performance indicators for marketing strategy optimization.

LOCATION
Associate will need to work from the Colombia, MD office two or three times a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Director of Marketing in the cultivation of standards, systems and best practices for marketing strategies across company’s portfolio businesses
- Generate marketing and sales metrics reports for senior leadership presentation
- Stay current with applicable industry trends, including audience targeting, creative, and consumer trends
- Monitor key performance indicators for e-commerceand brick and mortar marketing strategies across portfolio companies
- Liaise with company marketing teams and across functions for special projects
- Seek and evaluate new marketing channels, tools, partners and agenciesas assigned
- Monitor daily and monthly product sales and inventory to hit revenue goals.
- Partners internally and with outside agencies for development of strategy across channels, including email, paid social, Google Ads and other new marketing channels.
- Measures and reports the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes performance based on the insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
- 3-5 years of marketing experience
- Have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in analyzing lifecycle marketing plans (new customer acquisition, retention, and reactivation).
- Possess a strong knowledge of the e-commerce space including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, consumer research and trends.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance and results.
- Demonstrated ability to perform independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Analytics
