The Position:

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Engineer (Multi Jammer Characteristic-MJC Wall)-Journeyman to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. The salary range of this position is $105,000.00 - $130,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as an Engineer (Multi Jammer Characteristic-MJC Wall)-Journeyman may include:

• Develops and operates software written in C that controls/coordinates robotics and antenna positioning systems along with radio frequency (RF) instrumentation (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and other RF receivers)
• Uses Qt in an anechoic chamber testing facility
• Supports electronic warfare (EW) test activities with customers
• Develops and utilizes data analysis scripts using Python/MATLAB to assist customers in getting the data that supports their test objectives
• Works with mechanical engineers and technicians to develop new EW test capabilities
• Troubleshoots existing EW test capabilities

Must-haves:

• BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering: Degrees in Engineering, Math and Physics may qualify
• 5 years of experience operating and coding to control RF test equipment and instrumentation
• 3 years of C experience
• Experience developing software on Linux
• Experience with source control management such as Git
• Experience using Python and MATLAB
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience supporting EW testing
• Experience using Qt

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.

The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs.
