Position Summary
The Client Service Associate (CSA) plays a dual role supporting both exceptional client service and the financial planning process. This position partners closely with a planning-focused Lead Advisor to deliver a high-touch client experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, service-minded, and interested in developing expertise in financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Note: Series 65, Paraplanner designation, or CFP® certification required
Client & Advisor Support
- Partner with the Lead Advisor to deliver a seamless client experience
- Respond to routine client questions with guidance from the Advisor
- Maintain calendars, manage priorities, and support daily workflow
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to AMG’s client service standards
Financial Planning & Meeting Support
- Prepare for client meetings (request tax returns, run reports, projections, and analyses)
- Draft meeting recaps and track follow-up tasks
- Maintain accurate client records in Salesforce and other systems
- Use financial planning tools such as MoneyGuidePro and Holistiplan
Investment & Operations Support
- Develop working knowledge of AMG’s investment philosophy and model portfolios
- Assist with documentation related to risk tolerance and planning recommendations
- Support insurance and annuity servicing in collaboration with the service team
- Provide backup support for cashiering and account-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
Required
- 2 years in client service, administrative, or support role (financial services preferred)
- Series 65, Paraplanner designation, or CFP® certification
- Ability to work on-site at our S. Mopac office Monday - Friday
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Professionalism and discretion with confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems including a strong working knowledge of Excel, with the ability to use formulas and tools to support financial planning analysis
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience in wealth management or financial planning
- Familiarity with Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, Schwab, or Fidelity platforms
- Interest in pursuing additional financial planning credentials
