Job Description
Job Title: Material Handler/ Shipper
Department: Warehouse/ Shipping
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Summary
The Material Handler/ Shipper is accountable for safety, 5S, shipping, receiving freight, locating freight, put-aways, picking orders, shipping & receiving, cycle counting, assembly, process improvement and team productivity.
Primary Responsibilities And Duties
Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program.
Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.
Follows all procedures & work instructions.
Works to maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)
Pick orders timely & correctly.
Ability to learn & navigate our inventory control system/ shipping system (UPS/ Fed-ex)
Assure timely flow of goods.
Ability to check-in & put away parts using tablets & scanners.
Prepare handling of goods
Material receipts
Ability to process shipments in a correct order.
Ability to pick & pack orders sturdy & presentable.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalent
Tow motor experience/pallet jack
Flexible with hours
Computer processing experience (UPS WorldShip, Fed-ex)
Warehouse experience using barcode scanners.
Must be able to work in the US.
Competencies
Detail oriented
Communicates effectively.
Works well within a Team environment.
