What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse – Cardiac Catheterization Lab position at AMN Healthcare?

Contract Length: 13 week contract - Temp to perm position

Locals accepted - no adjusted rate; standard BR applied
Dysrhythmia exam required - study guide available in Simplify library
Minimum of 2 years (unbroken) Cath Lab experience
Minimum of 1 year travel experience
Required Certs/Licenses: -- RN, BLS, ACLS
Regular Shifts: 10 hour shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
On Call Shifts: Rotating call shifts minimum of 7 on / 7 off
Shifts vary but typically run 7AM-5:30PM in Cath Lab with 5:30PM-7AM call (Fridays and weekends are 24 hour call shifts)
Unit Specific Details:
Bed amount – 2 Cath labs, 1 EP lab, 1 hybrid OR
Drips – Cardiac drips
Lines/Drains/ Specific devices used – Medtronic heavy for devices and supplies
Machines – McKesson and Cupid. Cath -- Impella, balloon pump, penumbra, Volcano, OCT, Phillips X-Ray system, EP - Boston Scientific mapping system, farapulse
Oxygen -- Yes
Patient population – Adult only
Support staff (if applicable) – It is a 4 person / team Lab RN’s & Rad Techs for most cases. May also utilize anesthesia staff for certain procedures.
