About the position:
At AMOpportunities (AMO) we partner with schools and students in need of clinical rotations domestically and around the world for medical, PA and nursing rotations.
AMO is currently recruiting preceptors for a new PA school in Kansas. Students will start in January 2027. The specialties needed include pediatrics, psychiatry, women’s health, behavioral health, emergency medicine, general surgery, family medicine, and internal medicine.
As an AMO preceptor, you will be able to host the types of students that best fit your practice for when you are available. Preceptors are expected to facilitate a program that may include observation, patient interaction, didactic learning, case presentations, and/or research. Your program will be designed to fit the needs and availability of your practice. AMO handles all marketing, application collection, medical trainee support, and administrative work so that you can focus on the most important part, teaching!
This is a contracted position; preceptors are paid a stipend upon a medical trainee’s successful completion of their program. SIGNING BONUS AVAILABLE
Essential Functions:
Must be able to host a minimum of 36 hours/per week
Ensure all observation or hands-on activities involving patients are supervised by the physician, mid-level, or nurse
Timely responsiveness of requests and required school documents (affiliations, evaluations, forms etc.)
- Willing to write a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) based on merit
- Adhere to AMO & AMO’s school partners standards of professionalism as outlined in our affiliation agreement
Skills/Experience:
Hold a current, active, Medical, PA or APRN license in the U.S
For Physicians - Have current Board Certification
APRNs should also be certified in the specialty you are practicing in
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others
Prior clinical education experience preferred, but not required
