About the Role:

amp™ is looking for a skilled and aesthetically-driven Videographer / Gaffer / Editor to join our NYC-based production team. This is a hands-on, on-site role focused on filming high-quality in-app fitness & social marketing content in our Queens location. You’ll work closely with our Producer to capture studio-grade visuals with a strong creative eye, professional lighting setups, and a deep understanding of post-production workflows.

This is a collaborative and execution-heavy role that helps define the look and feel of our in-app experience. You’ll advise on equipment purchases, own the lighting and camera setup, contribute to editing workflows, and help bring out the best in our trainers and content. A great attitude, flexibility, and team-first mindset are essential.

You’ll thrive in this role if you…

Are a one-person production powerhouse with both creative vision and technical expertise. You love being hands-on, setting up lights, dialing in camera settings, directing talent, and then jumping into the edit to bring it all together. You’re nimble, resourceful, and thrive in fast-paced, high-performance environments. You know how to move fast without compromising on quality, and you're energized by working solo or as part of a lean, collaborative team.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Bring out the best features of our product through intentional, simple, and aesthetically-driven visuals, translating complex functionality into content that’s clear, digestible, and beautiful
  • Film and light high-quality fitness content for in-app use, branded shoots, and digital campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with the Producer to plan and execute production days efficiently and creatively
  • Advise on and manage camera, audio, lighting, and grip equipment, including making gear recommendations
  • Set up and break down professional lighting (Aputure, ARRI, etc.), camera rigs, and audio
  • Operate cameras and direct talent with clarity and confidence during shoots
  • Capture both hero footage and supplemental b-roll with purpose and visual excellence
  • Handle on-set problem-solving with professionalism and agility
  • Maintain high standards of quality across all content, adapting for different platforms if needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including post-production, social, and marketing
  • Own or contribute to the post-production process, including organizing, editing, color correction, motion graphics, and final delivery

You bring…

  • 7 years of experience filming, lighting, and editing original video content, ideally for digital platforms or publications
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro; After Effects and Photoshop are a plus
  • Deep technical knowledge of camera gear, audio, and lighting setups (C100/C200/C300, Blackmagic, RED, Aputure, etc.)
  • A strong aesthetic sensibility with attention to composition, lighting, and motion
  • Experience planning and executing shoots: shot listing, call sheets, gear planning, and crewing up
  • A proactive mindset, you're a go-getter who’s comfortable jumping into last-minute shoots and problem-solving on the fly
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A great attitude, flexible schedule, and team-first mindset
  • Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule as needed
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude and strong team orientation
