Job Summary
The Relay Manager/Supervisor is responsible for providing direction, coaching, supervision, and mentoring to a team of professional and technical staff within the Relay (Protection & Control) Department.

Who You Are
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- MBA is preferred
- Experience in the utility industry
- Manager(10 years)
- Supervisor (6 years)
- Must have solid knowledge of one or more of the following skill sets: SCADA, Automation, Settings, Configuration, Testing, Commissioning; engineering terms and concepts; Protection and Control Philosophy. Supervisory or managerial background.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License.

- Ability to present technical topics.
- Ability to travel to meet with clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises a group of protection and control engineers and serves as the project support coordinators to successfully deliver relay projects.
- Responsible for the management of the P&C teams; monitors the progress of the various projects to ensure timeliness of completion, while addressing issues with the team members to ensure accuracy of designs.
- Works with the company’s lead team in the hiring process and evaluations of the team members.
- Responsible for the Project budgets for the various projects, creating and viewing reports to track the status of each project for time and budgetary purposes, i.e., Relay Project Pipeline, Project man-loading, Relay teams resource allocations.
- Responsible for managing the design and procurement of protection and controls activities for substations, switchyards, and transmission lines.
- Accountable for adherence to and revisions of design/construction scope processes.
- Works closely with customer to ensure quality design to customer’s standards.
- Oversees proper protection and control schemes for T&D substations.
- Prepares scopes of work and estimates for evaluating and designing substations.
- Involved in maintaining customer standards dealing with relay protection.
