The Product Marketing Manager, Science is a key player on a high-performing product marketing team. The Marketing Manager views themselves as critical to the success of the product, sales, and marketing teams, and is energized by the opportunities Amplify's science program has to positively impact the lives of millions of students.
The Product Marketing team at Amplify is made up of resident experts on the voice of our customer - the problems they are trying to solve and the feedback they have about their experiences with and expectations for our programs. They keep a pulse on the ever evolving market landscape, including the drivers that influence program selection and the offerings of key competitors we face, and build tools and collateral that enable our sales team to succeed.
The Product Marketing Manager role helps shape the product roadmap by supporting market and customer insights research; and supplies to the growth of a loyal customer base by drafting the positioning, developing messaging, completing in-depth competitive analyses, enabling the sales team, and working with the Content & Growth Marketing team to drive campaigns across channels (digital, print, events).
The ideal candidate makes data-based decisions, collaborates well, communicates and writes effectively, and prioritizes to meet the needs of competing demands. The candidate is curious and an adept problem solver. This role reports to the Director, Product Marketing, Science and works cross-functionally to drive revenue for Amplify Science.

Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager, Science:- Develop deep market expertise and voice of customer insights to inform product development and marketing strategy. This role will develop a deep understanding of customer purchasing behaviors and pain points for science curriculum; follow market trends and the competitive landscape; and distill the information for internal groups, as needed, to help inform product development roadmaps and marketing strategy.
- Write and develop marketing collateral and sales resources. This role will play a central role in the development of Amplify Science materials to support the sales team. Examples include editing and writing one-pagers and long-form pieces (brochures, guides, FAQs), developing standardized pitch decks in cooperation with Sales, distilling competitive research, creating product demos, and driving the development of other critical sales enablement tools.
- Partner with the Content and Growth Marketing team to plan and execute marketing campaigns. The role will collaborate to drive Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) through acquisition channels, including playing a key role in setting campaign strategy and tactics, and drafting creative content and campaign copy (emails, landing pages) for middle of funnel and bottom of funnel campaigns.
- Partner with the Events, Content, and Customer Marketing teams to create plans that draw in educators to our trade show booth, webinars and in-person special events; engage and nurture them during the sales process; and/or build community post-sale.
- Play a key role in creating the strategy and content for a product demo program: A key priority is helping drive the development and execution of a demo and nurture program, to enable prospects to experience Amplify Science prior to purchase and providing a frictionless experience that moves them from activation and usage to purchase.
- Champion the product roadmap. The Marketing Manager will create internal and external tools to translate the value of new product features and new editions to the sales team and prospects.
- Maintain science product pages on Amplify.com and the internal sales portal. The marketing team is responsible for making sure that we have the latest and greatest messaging and materials available on the website and for the sales team to use. The marketing manager will be responsible for making sure that the website and sales portal are up to date.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
3 years' experience in educational publishing or tech marketing
- Exceptional writing skills, including attention to details of grammar, punctuation, phrasing, and structure - preferably in marketing channels such as email and web, and with customer-facing collateral and sales tools
- Strong project management skills, including experience simultaneously managing multiple projects effectively and independently.
Familiarity with digital and content marketing tactics preferred
- Experience coordinating and communicating with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of the organization

The gross salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000.
