What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Intake Coordinator position at Amwins Group, Inc.?

Stealth Partner Group an Amwins Group Company is looking for a Claims Intake Coordinator who will be responsible for providing support to our Claims Department for our self-funded clients across the United States. The Claims Intake Coordinator will effectively review and distribute all claims data to the appropriate internal claims team, review and process all large claim notifications and provide clerical support to internal claims team as needed.
This position is located in Scottsdale, AZ and will be an in-office position with the ability to work from home up to 2 days a week after training completion.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain and review all data received by the claims department and distribute to appropriate individuals on the appropriate claims team
  • Maintain and update security log for access to all PHI data
  • Review and process Large Claim Notifications and deliver to all appropriate parties
  • Record and distribute all claim payments received to designated claim analyst
  • Assist with filing and other clerical duties as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications include:
  • High school degree required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Ability to work cooperatively with both internal and external parties
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and eagerness to learn our business model are necessities
