The Anacortes Chamber of Commerce is actively seeking a meticulous Licensing Sub-Agent to join our dynamic team. As a meticulous Licensing Specialist, you will spearhead the processing of title applications and registrations for vehicles, vessels, and mobile homes, meticulously adhering to Washington State laws and statutes. Your role will extend to providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to the public, lending institutions, subagents, and dealers. This role demands a fusion of keen attention to detail with exceptional investigative skills.

As a Licensing Sub-agent, your essential functions would include:

  • Processing vehicle, vessel, and mobile home title applications and/or registrations for the public, lending institutions, or dealers.
  • Providing telephone support to the public, lending institutions, subagents, and dealers.
  • Maintaining workstation inventory and paperwork.
  • Assisting with monthly inventory of in-stock DOL items and reports inventory levels to DOL monthly. Distributing inventory to subagents as needed.
  • Tracking DOL communications to ensure proper issuance of motor vehicle and vessel licenses. Researching and providing technical information to subagents and others as needed.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new state licensing changes.
  • Performing departmental banking functions as needed.
  • Providing technical assistance to licensing subagents, automobile/vessel dealerships, and financial institutions.
  • Assisting with ongoing review and audit of subagent work as needed.
  • Providing assistance in the annual DOL audit of the County Licensing Agent.
  • Occasionally providing assistance that would be classified as non-supervisory licensing duties as they arise.
  • Opening and closing workstation and office. Running all necessary reports.
  • Reconciling cash drawer.
  • Copying, collating, and mailing out information.
  • Sorting and distributing mail.

Experience working at a DOL (Department of Licensing) is a plus, but not required.

This is a full-time position available immediately.

You must be computer proficient, well-groomed, and able to lift up to 40 pounds. You should also be able to multi-task while working with the public in a fast-paced office environment.
