The Assistant Shelter Manager position provides direct supervision to assigned youth specialist and food program manager. This position reports directly to the Shelter Manager and is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position and will require the management of and participation in an on-call schedule.

This position will be responsible for:
- The hiring, training, and supervision of direct care workers to ensure the appropriate level of supervision and span of control for youth is maintained.
- Creating and posting the monthly staff schedule and supervisor on-call schedule according to agency policy and procedure.
- Ensuring staff adheres to agency policies and procedures and provide coaching, corrective action, and support as needed.
- Completing all necessary administrative duties in a timely manner.
- Leading and participating in staff meetings with shelter staff and clinical meetings with the residential case management staff.
You must possess one of the following requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with youth.
- An associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with youth.
- A high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in child welfare.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $47,800.00 per year
