What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at ANCHOVIES & SALT?
We’re looking for experienced, friendly hosts/hostesses to join our team. Hosts/hostesses will be responsible for welcoming guests, managing & executing reservations, managing waitlists, escort guests to assigned dining areas.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests in a friendly, positive manner and making them feel welcome
- Actively monitors restaurant activity to determine dining flow and seating strategy
- Answering phone calls and general questions, booking daily reservations
- Estimating wait time for guests
- Knowledgeable in food and beverage menu with the ability to make suggestions based on dietary preferences
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a high-volume environment with all restaurant staff
- In-depth, working knowledge of restaurant best practices and methods, and POS and other technology
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team setting
- Valid King County food handler’s permit
