What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Acquisition Manager position at Ancora Education?
The Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM) is a strategic role at Ancora responsible for the "Front-End" employee recruitment lifecycle (Sourcing through Final Interview) and ultimately enhancing the employer brand. The TAM drives the strategy to attract, screen, and deliver high-quality candidates to hiring managers with speed and precision. The Manager oversees the corporate recruiting team, ensuring that "Speed-to-Interview" metrics align with the organization's rapid growth and staffing forecasts. A key component of this role is the strategic partnership with Human Resources; the TA Manager ensures a seamless "baton pass" of selected candidates to HR for the hiring process to include offer, background check, and onboarding. While HR manages ADP system configuration, this role acts as a key advisor on workflow improvements to enhance the candidate experience.
I. Sourcing Strategy & Pipeline Management (The Engine)
Pipeline Architecture: Responsible for building and maintaining "always-on" candidate pools for high-volume roles to support staffing needs.
Sourcing Diversification: Moves beyond passive job postings. Develops aggressive sourcing strategies using social media, professional networks/organizations, and employee referral campaigns to drive applicant flow.
Talent Acquisition Excellence: Strengthens our employer brand by transparently promoting competitive pay and benefits to attract top-tier talent, while standardizing screening protocols and assessments to ensure only "Ready-to-Hire" caliber candidates are presented to Hiring Managers.
II. Leadership & Workforce Planning
Team Oversight: Manages and mentors the Corporate Recruiter(s), setting daily activity KPIs (outbound calls, screens completed, interviews scheduled) to ensure ample lead flow for open requisitions.
Forecasting: Partners with the VP and Department Directors to review 30-60-90 day staffing projections, and weekly termination reports, ensuring the recruitment team is sourcing ahead of the need.
Stakeholder Management: Acts as the primary liaison between Hiring Managers and the Recruiting team, holding regular syncs to calibrate candidate quality and adjust profiles as needed.
III. HR Partnership & System Collaboration
The "Quality Handoff": responsible for the accuracy and completeness of candidate files before they move to the Offer stage of the hiring process. Ensures HR receives a "clean file" to expedite the offer and onboarding process.
ADP Collaboration: Serves as the functional expert for the recruiting module within ADP. Collaborates with HR to advise on workflow changes, disposition codes, and automation opportunities to reduce friction.
Compliance Support: Ensures the recruiting team adheres to all federal (OFCCP and EEOC, ADA, Title VII) and state/local rules to prevent discrimination in job posts/requisitions, ensuring equal opportunity, avoiding biased language, and meeting requirements during the screening process, partnering with HR to mitigate risk.
IV. Metrics & Analytics
Funnel Optimization: Tracks and reports on key "Top of Funnel" metrics: Time-to-Submit, Interview-to-Offer Ratio, Time to Fill, and Source Effectiveness.
Vendor Management: Manages relationships with external job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.) and staffing agencies, analyzing ROI on spend to recommend budget allocations to leadership.
Workforce Forecasting & Planning: Monitors termination trends and projected retirement positions to proactively identify talent gaps and initiate sourcing for upcoming requisitions before they become critical vacancies.
