PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITESUnder minimal supervision, the onsite Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the daily operations of the company’s accounts receivable and collections cycle. This role requires the ability to work across multiple functions, including collections, cash application, Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processing, issue resolution, and ensuring timely and accurate customer account reconciliations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES – other duties may be assigned1. Accurately record and apply customer cash receipts, manage outstanding invoices, and process invoices for payment in customer portals in a timely manner.2. Communicate and collaborate with internal customer representatives and external customers regarding collections and account inquiries.3. Prepare and report aged accounts receivable.4. Maintain control of all collection activities and ensure monthly company collection metrics are met.5. Approve, set up payment terms, and establish credit limits for new customer accounts and process credit reports through Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account files and documentation.7. Perform month-end close activities, including accounts receivable and cash-in-advance reconciliations, bad debt reserve analysis, and preparation of AR-related corporate reports and journal entries.8. Support the Accounting department and perform other related duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED1. High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level coursework in accounting or finance preferred.2. Minimum of five to seven (5–7) years of experience in Accounts Receivable in a manufacturing company.3.
