Anderson Hay & Grain is seeking to add an Accounting Specialist to its Accounting Department at the Ellensburg, WA, location. This is a dynamic role that combines both AP and AR duties by performing routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data including accounts payable, billing, receivables and taxes. This is an entry-level role that offers a competitive salary and ample opportunity for growth.
Job Functions
- Process timely and accurate payments to vendors and invoicing to customers utilizing Oracle Receivables, Collections, Orders Management, and Cash Management
- Work cross-functionally and successfully partner on implementation and adaptation of business practices
- Strong communication and commitment to teamwork
- Work through and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies
- Accurately maintain accounts payable files and accounts receivable information
- Develop and maintain good relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
- May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed
- Support and manage various tax-related projects and initiatives
- General accounting and other duties as assigned by the manager
Job Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting or Related Field of Study
- 2-5 Years’ Experience in Accounts Payable, Receivable, or related
- Strong personal computer and accounting software skills
- Applied knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the agriculture/manufacturing industry
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Previous experience with ORACLE Receivables, Collections, Orders Management, and Cash Management
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
