Responsibilities
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and ordering background and drug screens
- Maintain and update employee records and HR systems with accuracy
- Coordinate employee onboarding process and orientation program
- Provide support in administering employee benefits and compensation plans
- Facilitate employee training and development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Handle employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters
- Assist with the preparation of HR reports and metrics
- Organize and manage HR documentation and filing systems
- Support performance management and employee evaluation processes
- Coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Additional duties as assigned
Academic:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Two to three (2-3) years of experience in a Human Resources role or related administrative position required
- Knowledge of HR functions and best practices preferred
- Working knowledge of HR software and systems
- Familiarity with HR Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
- Reliability and trustworthiness with ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Certification in HR (eg. PHR, SHRM-CP) a plus
- Experience in employee relations and conflct resolution desired
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service-oriented attitude
- Team player with a collaborative approach
