How You'll Help Us Connect The World

As a Platform Architect, you will lead the end-to-end design, integration, and optimization of our hybrid infrastructure platforms—including Linux, Windows, and VMware virtualization. You will play a key role in driving the strategic vision and technical roadmap for enterprise compute and identity platforms while ensuring performance, security, automation, and scalability across all layers of infrastructure. This cross-functional role bridges systems engineering, automation, and cloud integration within a global enterprise. This role is hybrid based in Richardson, TX.

You Will Make An Impact By

• Architecting, deploying, and maintaining hybrid environments (Linux, Windows, VMware, and cloud).
• Designing scalable, secure, and resilient server platforms across on-prem and cloud workloads.
• Leading VMware Cloud Foundation efforts (vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, SDDC Manager) with performance tuning and micro-segmentation.
• Driving Active Directory, DNS, GPO, and hybrid identity governance (including Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Implementing and managing enterprise automation with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Ansible.
• Managing DNS services (forward/reverse zones, DNSSEC) and implementing secure naming infrastructure.
• Integrating platforms with identity and access management systems (AD, LDAP, Kerberos).
• Spearheading security hardening, patch compliance, and audit-ready configurations.
• Supporting PKI, certificate services (ADCS), and infrastructure encryption standards.
• Leading recovery planning, system documentation, and architectural decision records.
• Collaborating across teams to ensure system health, monitoring (e.g., vROps, Nagios, Grafana), and SLA delivery.
• Evaluating emerging technologies and driving continuous platform modernization.
  
  

Required Qualifications For Consideration

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise IT platforms (Linux, Windows, VMware).
• Strong background in infrastructure architecture, virtualization, and hybrid identity.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible).
• In-depth knowledge of networking, DNS infrastructure, and OS-level security.

• VMware certifications: VCP, VCAP, or VCF Specialist.
• Microsoft certifications: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Identity Administrator.
• Red Hat certifications: RHCSA, RHCE.
• Security certifications: CompTIA Security , CISSP.
• Hands-on experience with SDN, container orchestration (Tanzu, Kubernetes), or hybrid cloud integrations.
• Familiarity with PKI, ADCS, DNSSEC, and identity federation technologies.
