Position Purpose:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Charis Social Media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve Marketing efforts and increase sales.
Essential Duties:
- Develop, implement and manage Charis social media strategy
- Define the most important social media KPIs
- Manage, schedule, and oversee social media content
- Measure the success of every social media campaign
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Use social media marketing tools such as Sprout Social
- Attend educational seminars and conferences
- Work with content creators to ensure content is informative and appealing, according to the Charis brand.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team, sales, and product development teams
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
- Monitor digital marketing outlets to ensure content quality and consistency throughout different marketing channels. Develop strategies to improve content quality and user engagement.
- Capture and analyze key metrics and insights regarding user behavior, interaction, and experience, and present strategic recommendations.
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
- Train marketing team on best social media practices
- Provide constructive feedback
- Other tasks as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Sprout Social, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, or other media editing software
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and Google
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
- Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
- Experience with web design and publishing
- Good understanding of social media KPIs
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to estimate the effort required and timelines for the completion of tasks
Requirements:
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith
- Bachelors degree in Marketing or equivalent education is recommended
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
- Must pass all required checks
Experience:
- Minimum of two years experience in Social Media, or related role
- Must possess a portfolio showcasing previous work and accomplishments
- Experience in non-profit online marketing is preferred but not a requirement
- Compensation is commensurate with experience
