The Commercial Loan Processors are an integral part of our Commercial Lending Team. They are responsible for processing the origination of a portion of the Bank’s commercial loans, working in conjunction with Commercial Lenders, Portfolio Managers, and Commercial Loan Assistants. Daily tasks may involve loan document preparation, advances, payments, wires, line renewals, loan extensions, modifications, construction loan/invoice payments, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities include:
Works with lending officers, clients, and legal counsel to create and gather documentation required to proficiently and accurately process commercial real estate and business asset loans according to the terms of approval and Bank loan policies. Also supports documentation in the area of municipal leases and business loans.
Responsible for analyzing commercial loan proposals to identify pertinent details for loan closing packages.
Independently resolves complex issues timely and accurately as they relate to the due diligence of loan closings, including, but not limited to, title, flood issues, environmental, insurance, regulatory, or pre-closing requirements of approval, UCC filings, and all other applicable corporate documentation.
Keeps up to date with knowledge of Bank, Federal and State regulations as they relate to Fair Credit, Reg. B, HMDA, CRA, UDAP, and Flood compliance. Ensures consistent compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
Follows up on loan closings, including booking loans, recording documents with the registry, filing vehicle titles and UCCs, posting general ledger tickets, disbursements to vendors, loan payoffs, balancing transactions, scanning loan files.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with commercial lending administration functions, loan policies, regulations and loan operations procedures
- 1-3 years of experience in a financial institution or in a legal environment
- Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner
- Proficiency with multiple computer applications, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of the nCino commercial loan system, Navigator, and LaserPro would be preferred.
- High school diploma, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Paralegal certificate a plus
- Knowledge of Fiserv software is a plus
