WORKING FOR ANDY’S PRODUCE MARKET

Our Deli Clerks are responsible for contributing to our customers' overall satisfaction by:

• Preparing a variety of hot and cold foods using products that showcase Andy's commitment to fresh produce and natural foods
• Safely and correctly using kitchen equipment that may include (but is not limited to) knives, meat slicers, panini presses, ovens, hot plates, and other kitchen-related equipment
• Presenting products in the appropriate section of the prepared food cases to promote our inventory while maintaining the appearance of the department
• Maintaining the department's cleanliness by complying with food safety and sanitation requirements in addition to cleaning and sanitizing equipment, dishes, and food preparation areas
• Providing exceptional customer service and client satisfaction by being knowledgeable about our products
• Assisting team members in other departments such as courtesy, grocery, and produce when necessary

The ideal Deli Clerk will have:

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers and team members
• The flexibility to work a changing retail schedule that can include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs

The most qualified candidates will have previous experience in the grocery industry or commercial food service.

We are a family business located in Sebastopol with a rich history in the community. In addition to premium fruits and vegetables, we offer a selection of organically grown produce, a packaged bulk food and grocery section, and an all-natural health and beauty department. We are proud to feature local fine wines, select specialty foods, and an incredible selection of gourmet cheeses. In addition to providing these healthful options to our local communities, we also satisfy the needs of over 200 local restaurants with our wholesale division.
