What are the responsibilities and job description for the Peer Support position at AngleZ Behavioral Health Services?
AngleZ BHS is looking for an Intentional Peer Support Specialist to join our team in support of our clients! An ideal candidate is capable of the following:
- Coordinate and provide access for members to Peer Support Services, Peer Advocacy Groups, and other peer-run or peer-centered services.
- Organize and facilitate the monthly ABHS Consumer Counsel group.
- Work closely with the Behavioral Health Home team members.
- Participate in the Peer Advisory Meeting to develop outreach in the community, identify gaps in peer services as well as training needs, and review the Consumer Advisory feedback and plan of action as an agency
- Support members to effectively meet their treatment plan goals.
- Support members with overcoming obstacles that arise while working on treatment plan goals.
- Documentation requirements for time spent with members.
- Maintain and update information on area peer programs and services.
- Assist the member with identifying and developing natural support systems.

An Intentional Peer Support Specialist is an induvial who has lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorder. The Intentional Peer Support Specialist is an individual who is receiving or has received services and supports related to the diagnosis of a mental illness and/or substance use disorder, is in recovery, and is willing to self-identify on this basis with Behavioral Health Home members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
