What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Leader position at Angry Inch Brewing?
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Prior bartending or beertending experience preferred.
Must be a Cicerone Certified Beer Server.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Phenomenal customer service skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask as well as stay cool under pressure.
Ability to team lift a full keg or maneuver a keg on their own or with the assistance of a dolly.
Willingness to further their knowledge of craft beer and the brewing process.
Available to work a variety of shifts Wednesday - Sunday.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Adhere to the schedule set forth by the Taproom Manager and executing the duties and responsibilities assigned
- Ensuring that the beers on tap are acceptable to serve (correct temperature, optimal quality, no off flavors)
- Engaging with each patron directly, giving each the attention they deserve, and making them feel welcomed while working to meet their needs quickly and efficiently
- Politely and respectfully addressing customers’ questions about the brewery and beer, regardless of their knowledge or experience with craft beer
- Conforming to and enforce regulations set forth by the alcoholic beverage commission (double checking IDs when necessary, curtailing overconsumption)
- Maintaining a clean bar and taproom
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing taproom operations
- Maintaining a pleasant taproom atmosphere (temperature, music, cleanliness, conduct)
- Working towards continuous optimization of taproom operations by providing Taproom Manager and brewery owners with timely feedback
- Expertly communicating the Angry Inch Brewing philosophy and the uniqueness of each beer
- Conducts themselves as a brand ambassador on and off duty
Compensation:
This position is paid hourly and keeps all tips earned.
