What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Care Professional (CCP) for Veterinary ER Practice position at Animal ER Care?
Animal ER Care, an AAHA-accredited and VECCS II certified emergency practice within the Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC), is seeking front desk personnel with experience in emergency and critical care to join our growing practice including positions at our new Central location opening September 2022.
VSC is a 24-hour small animal specialty hospital fully equipped with endoscopy, bronchoscopy, digital radiology, multiple surgical suites with ventilators, ultrasound, CT scan, therapeutic laser, and underwater treadmill. AERC’s emergency doctors practice progressive medicine and are supported by and work closely with many of our board certified veterinary specialists within the VSC: internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, physical rehabilitation, dermatology, and dentistry.
Our Client Care Professional is primarily responsible for our client experience, including greeting and checking-in clients, accurate data entry of client/patient information, answering phones, explaining payment options, processing payments, ensuring patient rooms/reception areas are clean and inviting. Our Client Care Professionals are a pivotal part of our client's experience and an invaluable member of our team. Ideal candidate will have prior front desk experience in a veterinary setting, perferably in ER.
While experience in the veterinary field is not required, it would be incredibly beneficial.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be able to work 10 - 12 hour shifts
- Has compassion for working with clients, especially in times of stress and/or duress
- Can remain composed during times of high stress and medical crisis
- Has good communication and approach-ability
- Handles all aspects of their job in a professional fashion
- Excels in a team oriented environment and works well with all levels of hospital team members
- Is able to defuse tense situations
