Position: Veterinary Receptionist
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their furry companions. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our clinic.
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their furry companions. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our clinic.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Welcome clients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments, differentiating those in need of urgent treatment, answer phone inquiries, and obtain necessary medical histories.
- Accurately enter client, patient, and financial information into our system.
- Process payments, generate invoices, and explain them to clients.
- Facilitate communication between clients, veterinarians, and technical staff.
- Manage the retrieval, storage, and organization of medical records.
- Assist with prescription refills, food requests, and over-the-counter product sales.
- Prioritize tasks, including differentiating urgent care needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- A genuine love for animals and empathy for their owners.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
- Previous veterinary experience preferred
- Previous cashier or front-office experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
