Reports to : Adoptions Supervisor

Job Summary

To advance the mission and programs of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) by providing excellent customer service through planning, promotion, and facilitation of off-site adoption events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cultivate positive customer relations through professional, courteous, and educational interactions while actively promoting our mission, services, programs, and events.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and excellent service to all internal and external customers at all times.
• Responsible for finding potential adoption sponsors for events and developing partnerships within the community.
• Collaborate with the Development Team to implement creative strategies for adoption events and public-facing event contact.
• Collaborate with Volunteer Services to ensure needed volunteers are scheduled to assist with adoption events.
• Assist customers with the pet adoption process by providing guidance.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and modeling safe work practices.
• Assist in training and collaborating with volunteers to support departmental goals and ensure a positive volunteer experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to ARL policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
