What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Tech position at Ann Storck Center?
We are searching for Registered Behavior Technicians to join our outpatient therapy program. The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works alongside the Behavior Analysts to provide intensive one-on-one behavioral intervention services for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other developmental disabilities. We are looking to expand our team and are seeking professional, highly motivated, energetic individuals, who are interested in implementing strategies to enhance the quality of life of those we serve.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conduct direct therapy (skill acquisition and behavior reduction) sessions with individuals who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities.
- Complete session preparation and closeout procedures, including but not limited to organizing materials, datasheets, and reinforcers
- Collect and graph data accurately and efficiently
- Assist Behavior Analysts in creating and maintaining necessary assessment and intervention materials
- Engage clients in a positive, enthusiastic manner while creating novel learning opportunities
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents and staff
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Participate in ongoing supervision and group training opportunities
- Abide by the BACB Code of Ethics as detailed in the Guidelines for Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts (www.bacb.com)
Education & Work Requirements:
- Must have or be actively working towards a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college in Psychology, Education, or related field, Associate’s degree required.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – (REQUIRED).
- Active Medicaid Provider # (REQUIRED).
- Must have experience with applied settings with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disability.
- Experience providing intensive ABA services preferred.
- Must be creative, self-motivated, energetic, fun, and a team player.
- Ability to follow instructional guidance, to follow behavior plans, to work well independently, and seek assistance when needed.
- Flexible and willing to take constructive feedback and apply it to improve own professional development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Record of success as evident by strong references.
- Reliable transportation.
