Position Purpose
Responsible for assisting in all areas of Programs; including but not limited to: transportation for Villagers for work, shopping, outings, on campus transport, monitoring the cafeteria as assigned; and assisting Program Instructors.
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.
Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting.
Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Assists the Academic & Arts, Recreation, Music, and Vocational Instructors as needed in planning and implementing activities for the villagers.
Assists with Saturday programming as assigned.
Provides substitute coverage for Program Instructors during leave times, meetings, emergencies and/or vacancies as needed. Also monitors meals, field trips and special events as required.
Provides transportation, on and off campus as assigned by Programs Center Manager.
Monitors attendance and participation of day program participants.
Monitors Villager behavior and assists staff as needed to manage inappropriate behavior; documents according to policy in the electronic record system.
Helps Villagers with hygiene as needed.
Provides input regarding behavioral support plans, goal attainment, and participation.
Documents in the electronic record system.
Assists with upkeep of equipment, supplies and other operating materials.
Assists in keeping facility clean and safe.
Assists Program Instructors and the Activity Coordinator with planning and implementing special events, parties and field trips.
Provides monitoring at dining hall as assigned.
Attends all required and assigned trainings and meetings.
Performs other duties that may be necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee, Inc. to meet the personal service and care of the Villagers.
