Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our team serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities!
Responsibilities
- Assists therapy team with treatments as requested and assigned, under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, including treatment room set up, / clean up, client preparation, simple range of motion, and routine exercises.
- Obtain basic client information and basic health screens prior to transport to the treatment area.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information as required by HIPAA standards.
- Manage client mobility and transportation needs, as assigned, including transporting them to and from their appropriate destinations.
- Prepare rehab equipment and space for treatment sessions.
- Perform administrative duties including but not limited to copying, filing, dispersing client records and maintaining medical charts, as assigned.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks as assigned, for the purpose of infection control, safety, and overall appearance of the rehabilitation space.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience and comfort working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills
- Maintain flexibility to meet needs of individuals and department
- Ability to push, pull, bend, sit, and stand for extended periods to time
- Ability to regularly, intermittently, and spontaneously lift, transfer, and reposition individuals
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Good record keeping and organizing skills
- Basic knowledge of physical therapy techniques, treatments, and equipment
- Understand and adhere to state regulations and facility policies and procedures;
- Ability to work independently
- Acceptable driving record and proof of insurance required
- Ability to travel to various Anne Grady sites, using personal or company vehicle, as needed.
