Rehabilitation Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our team serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities!

Responsibilities

• Assists therapy team with treatments as requested and assigned, under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, including treatment room set up, / clean up, client preparation, simple range of motion, and routine exercises.
• Obtain basic client information and basic health screens prior to transport to the treatment area.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information as required by HIPAA standards.
• Manage client mobility and transportation needs, as assigned, including transporting them to and from their appropriate destinations.
• Prepare rehab equipment and space for treatment sessions.
• Perform administrative duties including but not limited to copying, filing, dispersing client records and maintaining medical charts, as assigned.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks as assigned, for the purpose of infection control, safety, and overall appearance of the rehabilitation space.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience and comfort working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Excellent interpersonal and communication Skills
• Maintain flexibility to meet needs of individuals and department
• Ability to push, pull, bend, sit, and stand for extended periods to time
• Ability to regularly, intermittently, and spontaneously lift, transfer, and reposition individuals
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Good record keeping and organizing skills
• Basic knowledge of physical therapy techniques, treatments, and equipment
• Understand and adhere to state regulations and facility policies and procedures;
• Ability to work independently
• Acceptable driving record and proof of insurance required
• Ability to travel to various Anne Grady sites, using personal or company vehicle, as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
