What are the responsibilities and job description for the Provider Relations Manager position at AO Multispecialty Clinic?
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, and their office staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for referring providers, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating communication with AOMSC departments.
- Actively engage with physicians and practice managers through in-person visits,calls, emails, and scheduled check-ins to assess satisfaction and identify areas forimprovement.
- Collaborate with the marketing and leadership teams to develop thoughtful referring provider gifts, educational materials, and resources to share during in-person visits.
- Promote AOMSC’s services, specialties, and new programs to enhance awarenessand increase referral volume.
- Partner with internal referral department to coordinate timely follow-up and ensurean exceptional referral experience.
- Monitor referral trends and feedback and provide insights and recommendations toleadership to support patient retention and growth strategies.
- Support credentialing processes and ensure referring providers have up-to-date andaccurate contact and practice information. Assist in the onboarding of new providers by introducing them to referral sources and highlighting internal resources and services.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and community physicians’ needs to identify opportunities for collaboration and outreach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or a related field required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in provider relations, physician outreach, medical office coordination, or a similar role preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel locally to meet with referring providers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, service-oriented approach.
- Working knowledge of healthcare systems, referral processes, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; EMR familiarity a plus.
