What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Specialist I position at AOB Products Company?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly operations per written and verbal instruction
  • Perform rework operations per written and verbal instruction
  • Complete production documentation, including correct finished good counts, correct scrap counts, lot traceability and time spent on project
  • Complete rework paperwork including accurate accounting of defective product and time spent on these projects
  • Work safely and identify/report any safety hazards immediately
  • Attend safety training and follow all company safety rules
  • Maintain good housekeeping in personal area and all commons areas
  • Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Knowledge:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED minimum
  • Experience: 1-2 years’ experience

Competencies and Skills:

  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Attentive to detail
  • Works within established procedures, some initiative and judgment required
  • Self-motivation and takes initiative

Physical Demands:

  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Some overtime is required for business demands.
  • Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with fork lift and other general hazards. Safety requires ability to hear, and at times wear safety glasses and masks.
