The Accountant II, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Marketing Accounting team, reporting to the Marketing Accounting Supervisor. This role will be primarily responsible for the following:
Perform marketing accounting functions related to Apache domestic oil and gas properties
Actualize oil, gas, and ngl volumes marketing by Apache in Endur for integration of pricing and deduct data to the revenue department
Responsible for payment of transportation and cashout invoices
Reconcile balance sheet accounts with emphasis on third party receivables, payables, and intercompany balances
Communicate with revenue accounting and marketing departments to ensure proper accounting of assigned assets;
Work on special projects as requested by management; and
Interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external to Apache Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
An Accounting degree with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours
Marketing accounting experience beneficial but not required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge and experience with Endur a plus
Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, management, administrative, organizational, and leadership skills Competencies
