The Apartment Association of North Alabama (AANA) is seeking a motivated, organized, and visionary Association Executive to serve as our next Chief Executive Officer!

What You’ll Do:
Lead with Purpose
- Serve as the key liaison to the Board of Directors and volunteer leadership
- Manage strategic planning and organizational goals
- Keep communication, accountability, and expectations aligned across all stakeholders
Oversee Operations
- Manage association finances, budgets, invoicing, and tax filings
- Maintain and grow membership through education, networking, and support
- Ensure smooth operations of all programs and systems
Advocate for the Industry
- Represent the Association at local, state, and national legislative events
- Support policy tracking and PAC fundraising efforts alongside volunteers
Plan and Execute Exceptional Events
- Lead all aspects of event planning — from site selection and vendor negotiation to registration, logistics, and promotion
- Organize trainings, meetings, conferences, and networking events that deliver value and engagement
- Develop creative, memorable event experiences for members and partners
Drive Marketing & Public Relations
- Oversee all marketing strategies, including email campaigns, newsletters, print collateral, and branding
- Manage all social media platforms and website content to drive engagement and visibility
- Develop and implement public relations efforts that elevate AANA’s reputation in the community
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in event planning, marketing, and public relations
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage volunteers and inspire collaboration
- Budgeting and financial management proficiency
- Tech-savvy with comfort in websites, membership databases, and communication tools
- Strategic mindset with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent relevant experience)
