Fitness Instructor

Under the general supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator, this role focuses on fostering strong relationships with Apex members and creating engaging aquatic fitness classes to maintain or boost attendance. The position promotes fitness and wellness through safe instruction of aquatic fitness classes and assists with substituting classes when necessary. Additional responsibilities include announcing and informing participants about relevant Apex activities, attending all staff meetings and trainings, and adhering to Apex policies and procedures. Instructors must obtain continuing education credits, maintain current certifications, and provide documentation of all certifications to the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator promptly. They must also respond appropriately to all emergency situations.We are specifically looking for an instructor with experience teaching Active Adults. The ideal candidate is certified in group fitness, personal training, or holds advanced certifications. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be available to teach on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am.
