Job Summary:
Responsible for crating finished goods and safely packaging them for transportation.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for creating crates or other frames for shipping raw materials or finished goods from inventory.
- Responsible for choosing the appropriate material for creating the appropriate shipping container for raw materials or finished goods.
- Responsible for packing raw materials or finished goods into the appropriate container for shipment.
- Responsible for ensuring that raw materials or finished goods do not move while in transit within the shipping container.
- Matches part numbers/part ID’s, with shipping instructions.
- other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Experience with shipping or receiving
- ERP systems experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Aspects:
- Must be able to access and function within areas key to productivity. Adequate manual dexterity to operate assigned and shared equipment. Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
