Associate HR Manager

Apex Systems is assisting our global client in the hiring of an Associate HR Manager. Candidates must be local to the Raleigh, NC area and report on-site 4 days/week.

Schedule: On-site 4 days/week, 1 day remote

Duration: Contract-to-hire

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provides a variety of services necessary for the recruitment, selection, assignment, motivation, training, and development of qualified employees for a large.
• Spans more than one area of functional specialization within the human resources function, such as compensation, benefits, labor relations, etc.
• Emphasis is on the implementation of an organization's programs, though some major human resources functions may be missing.
• Representative Activities Directs adaptation of broader policies, plans, and programs to meet accepted objectives.
• Directs administration of local hiring, compensation, benefits, training, safety, health, and security programs.
• As a first level manager, manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Participates in local negotiations and administers the labor agreement.
• Counsels managers on how to handle personnel problems.
• Assures implementation of broader policy and adherence to external regulations.
• Designs, plans, and implements human resources programs and policies for staffing, compensation, benefits, immigration, employee relations, training, and health and safety.
• Ensures human resources strategies align with organizational business goals.
• Evaluates human resources processes and strategies to determine improvements to be made and reports findings to top management.
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 5 years related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 years supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred
