What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Counselor position at APIS Services Inc.?
One of our amazing affiliates, Edison Court, is looking for Youth Counselors to provide supervision, guidance, mentoring, and direction to residents in our Mathom House & Easton Manor Programs. Help enhance the lives of kids in need of your professional support! Our residential treatment facilities, located in Doylestown area, Bucks County PA, are dedicated to providing responsive and innovative care to adolescent males through a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates counseling, education, recreation, and life skills instruction.
We are looking for both Part-time and Full-time staff for 2nd shift, overnight shifts and weekends. Starting salary is $17.50 (ALL SHIFTS)

Responsibilities :
- Demonstrate a variety of counseling, communication, and parenting skills, which support the formation of trusting, supportive relationships with the residents.
- Maintain safety and security of residents and facility.
- Actively supervise residents during academic instruction, recreational activity, in the community, and in common areas of the facility.
- Collaboratively create residential behavioral goals in conjunction with clinical staff and case manager.
- Create and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and reports to record residents’ progress toward behavioral goals.
- Will be trained in accordance with our structured program policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a human services related field is preferred. However, exceptional candidates with a High School Diploma and at least one year previous experience or internship with direct care of children/adolescents required.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must pass criminal history (including FBI) and child abuse history clearances.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- The program operates 24/7; therefore, these positions require rotational shift work (8:00am-4:00pm; 4:00pm-12:00am; 12:00am-8:00am). Assigned shifts may vary, allowing for a highly flexible, part and full-time schedules.
