The SEO & Content team at APMEX is seeking a Copywriter to create impactful content that educates, inspires, and elevates our brand. This role will work under the Director of SEO and Content, creating web content for our audiences.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate writer who cares about educating and informing our audiences who are seeking stable long-term investments. The position carries the opportunity to write about financial topics in an educational format, as well as marketing copy for the web. Writers who are experienced writing creative ad copy in short-form format and can present a portfolio of such work will have preference. The ideal candidate can research complex financial and numismatic topics and create accurate copy that represents the brand as the authority in precious metals.

The copywriter writes content about the precious metals industry on topics such as investing, market movements, product comparisons and more. This role also requires someone who can create compelling marketing copy for landing pages, banners, headlines, emails, app, social media ads, YouTube titles and descriptions and more. The copywriter collaborates with SEOs on staff to write content that is friendly to both users and search engines. Content should be free of factual, grammatical, spelling and syntax errors.

A Day in the Life of a Copywriter at APMEX:

• Conducts research online and via interview of in-house subject matter experts
• Writes articles that are well researched, authentic and that display APMEX’s industry expertise
  • Articles must be free of grammatical, syntax, and spelling errors
• Develops copy for the website and other marketing collateral, such as content for print catalogs, social media ads, banners, landing pages, and other marketing campaigns
• Develops ecommerce focused website copy for product pages, categories, etc. that are SEO friendly  
• Develops in-depth, informative content for the Knowledge Center; APMEX’s education focused resource on Precious Metals
• Aids in the development of our content calendar for blogs, Apps and YouTube channel
• Uses keywords as appropriate (provided by the SEO), and structures content in a way that’s friendly to read by users and bots alike
• Uploads content to the website via WordPress or our custom CMS
• Organizes work in JIRA, working collaboratively with the broader APMEX team

Education:

High School diploma required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in copywriting
• Demonstrable experience writing marketing copy
• Demonstrable experience writing (or willingness and ability to learn) about financial topics such as commodities, stocks, investments, precious metals, etc.
• Experience with Content Management Systems
  • WordPress experience a plus
• Experience with JIRA a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Bonus: fluency in German, Italian or French

Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
