Also, DaVinci, neuro, hearts, cysto, Gyn, general, trauma - Department covered/ #suits Main OR, cath lab, GI, ER, L&D, clinics (clinic deliver to hospital, SPD processes & then are delivered via courier to clinics) - Experience or 'Must have' skills "Need to be willing to work in all areas of SPD, including decontamination. - Need to have experience working similar sized facilities/departments." - Duties Decontamination, preparation, sterilization, & distribution of surgical instruments, hospital instruments, & medical equipment throughout the facility. Utilizing infection control & safety practices during all phases of the process. - Common equipment to disinfect/common supplies to sterilize "Steris steam sterilizers, Steris V-Pro Some Olympus high disinfectant for GI lab (bonus if experienced with) - Use SPM tracking system" - Is there a Manager/Lead Tech on each shift? There is a supervisor who oversees the department, in addition to the manager. - might be asked to help orient new hires sometimes - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) "24Hr facility (coverage scheduled 24/7) - 8Hr shifts: Days - start 630a/7a, Mids - start 10a/11a/12p, Evenings - start 230p/3p - Graveyards during week, 4 - 10s - roughly 830p-7a" - Weeknight/Call Requirements Currently have dedicated techs for nights - Weekend/Call Requirements "Currently have dedicated techs for weekends Typically 3 - 12s - Call shifts are currently voluntary - rarely get called in" - Holiday/Call Requirements Volunteer/rotational basis - What is call response time? 30mins - Floating Requirements No floating outside of SPD - Scrub Color/Dress Code Provided - Unit/Department specific orientation Dependent on experience, approx 1-2 shifts if contract is for general days. Could be longer if contract is for nights or weekends when there are less resources available.
