What you will be doing:
- Assist and advise the 15 AF/A4 Director on Numbered Air Force (NAF) processes and procedures as related to the assessment and certification and fleet-wide sustainment of aircraft platforms and their associate munitions and support equipment.
- Perform as Lead Contractor to advise and assist 15 AF/A4 staff with the planning and assessment of force element certifying events/exercises.
- Assist and advise 15 AF/A4A Division Chief, and staff agencies on aircraft maintenance systems war fighting capabilities and limitations.
- Coordinate with MAJCOM, Air National Guard Bureau (ANGB) and depot centers to assess and resolve readiness issues involving aircraft, support equipment, depot support, technical orders, operating instruction changes, and time compliance technical orders affecting combat capabilities.
- Assist with Readiness Assistance Visits (RAV) and Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) when tasked.
- Participates as a member of 15 AF Operational Planning Teams and Working Assist in the preparation of briefings and presentations as required.
- Assist and advise 15 AF/A4 on operational and exercise planning for maintenance and logistics support
- Reviews reports, performs appropriate research, and prepares detailed responses to maintenance and munitions related issues.
- Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable maintenance and munitions issues and performs follow-up.
- Capture, identify, and disseminate Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN) model manning, training, and operational requirements necessary to ensure seamless transition at the tactical level, particularly emerging Mission Ready Airmen.
- Create, and update as required, training curriculum and provide instruction in 15 AF maintenance
- Perform action officer duties by providing staff work on current/future issues involving logistics, maintenance, and munition support.
- Perform periodic independent systems evaluations and develop improvements for system limitations based on a thorough and comprehensive study and analysis.
- Provide functional expertise in NAF and/or Command and Control operations to include maintenance management of aircraft, munitions, and equipment.
- Identify areas for maintenance standardization across units in the 15 AF commander’s purview.
- Assist with other assigned staff Advise, Assist, Advocate, Integrate, and Certify tasks supporting 15 AF mission directives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizenClearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret EligibilityEducation: Bachelor’s degree in any field.Years of experience: Bachelors plus 8 years of force readiness and aircraft maintenance experience (sortie generation and aircraft employment and sustainment), or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Possess at least 1 year of end-user experience in Air Force readiness reporting platforms (e.g., DRRS and DCAPES) and maintenance/QA systems (i.e. eMOC/GO81, IMDS)
- At least two years of experience as a Production Superintendent managing flightline and backshop maintenance.
- Two years of experience in Maintenance Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree
Experience: 8 years relevant experience, including 3 years supporting the DoD AND 10 years of in-depth fighter or rescue aircraft maintenance knowledge and experience.
