Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking to add a part-time (every other weekend) 2nd shift RN or LPN to our team!
Summary:
Assist supervisory or charge nurse in administration of nursing measures; supervision, evaluation and planning of care; and communication with residents, family, and other members of the health care team to meet the total needs of the residents.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assists in resident assessment and implementation of appropriate intervention
- Assists in planning of care to attain and/or maintain the highest possible level of health, independence, and mobility of the resident
- Assists in evaluation of care and supervision of nurse assistants on the assigned unit to assure efficient functioning of the unit and improve quality of care
- Performs therapeutic procedures in compliance with physician orders and plan of care
- Delivers resident medications timely and accurately
- Communicates with physician and other health care providers to facilitate the overall health care of the resident
- Encourages and maintains an open communication with resident and families.
- Assists with orientation of new personnel
- Records progress notes regularly to assure continuity of care and provide up-to-date information for physicians, consultants, nursing staff, and other health care providers
- Provides resident and family education where needed to enhance cooperation and undertaking of the care plan
- Participates in continuing education within and outside the facility to improve nursing skills and keep abreast of nursing developments
- Performs other duties as directed
Sign-On Bonus:
- $500 after 3 months
- $500 after 6 months
- $500 after 1 year
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Must hold an active Illinois Nursing License
- Positive attitude and caring approach required
- Must be available to work approximately 3:00pm-11:30pm every other weekend as well as a holiday rotation.
Physical Demands:
Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, reaching. Occasionally required to sit, use hands/fingers. Routinely required to push/pull/lift and/or move up to 40lbs. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals and infectious waste.
