Role:
Under general supervision, and following established policies and procedures, the Front Desk Concierge projects a positive, welcoming image as representative of the credit union in receiving members, employees, visitors, vendors, and other building tenants. In between welcoming people, supports the Document Imaging and Records Management department by performing various duties related to the mailroom and records management function. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with The Apple Way principles, of Team Up, Serve With Purpose, Challenge Yourself and Own It. Remains cognizant of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act. Performs other duties as assigned by the Document Imaging and Records Manager.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Projects a positive, welcoming image as an AFCU representative. Helps set the office tone of a friendly and productive workplace. Directs visitors to the appropriate location and/or notifies credit union personnel of their arrival at the Headquarters facility.
- Maintains knowledge of local resources and amenities that are available in the HQ building and in the surrounding Fairfax Corner area and responds to questions about these resources. Assists with any special requests.
- Assists with building logistics and maintains awareness of building events. Builds strong internal partnerships with Apple employees, building tenants, and other visitors to meet business needs.
- Supports mailroom operations by receiving packages and other items delivered to the front desk. May additionally help by sorting incoming and outgoing mail and interdepartmental items.
- During available time, supports the records management function by importing electronic documentation and classifying record types through data entry and filed form indexing.
- Oversees the HQ lobby and ensures that the area is clean and neat; presenting a welcoming environment.
- Maintains awareness of lobby traffic and reports any potential security issues to the Risk Management department immediately.
- Facilitates research requests for document retrieval, as time permits.
- Performs other duties to support the Document Imaging and Records Management team as assigned by the department manager.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:
(12) twelve months experience as a receptionist or working at a financial institution is preferred.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and member/customer service skills.
Other Skills:
Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25 lbs, Sit for long periods of time. Able to utilize standard office equipment including, but not limited to, PC, fax, copier, telephone, etc.
This position is not eligible for a remote work environment.
Work Environment:
Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment.
